The Scrapbook Store Sketch

Hi There!

I am squeezing this one in last minute! I really loved the sketch over at the The Scrapbook Store

This was Evie blowing out her candles a few weeks ago. I really still can't believe she is 2 already!
I have used a mix of Prima Romance Novel & Prima Romantique
The large pink flower & the pruple flower are from Green Tara & the others are a mix of Prima

Using teh Prima flourish mask with some texture paste

A Dusty Attic chipboard sign. I have painted some Distress Crackle Paint in Walnut Stain for the stand & used pink acrylic paint with smudges of gesso for the base. I wanted the journalling to be clear so I didn't alter the base too much
I will have a few tutorials posted over the next few days so make sure you pop back!

Thanks for looking!
Cheers

PrimaDonna Girl & a little Tutorial

Hi There!

I am sharing a just because page today. I took the title from one of my fav songs at the moment "Prima Donna Girl" by Maria & the Diamonds. It seemed to suit the photo & I used all Prima products too!

The chippie is Imaginarium designs. I have covered it with some texture paste & then painted it with some Ranger Distress crackle paint in Walnut Stain

I also have a little tutorial on the My Creative Scrapbook blog today on creating a 3D textured back ground
Hi There! Today I want to show you how I created the 3D background on this page

Close up it looks like this

Using the October Main Kit & a sheet of white cardstock & brown ink & Foam tape/foam dots
1. Take the MME Bluebell Playful mischief paper. Use the grid pattern & cut along the vertical lines
I find it much easier to work row by row on at a time so you don't end up with pieces everywhere.

2. Use your scissors & cut along the printed lines on the first row

Keep cutting the pieces for the first row

3. Place a strip of tape along the top of some cardstock

4. Take the smallest piece to start with. Ink the plain side & stick it down in the top left corner

5. Take the next piece & ink the BLUE PATTERN side this time. Use some foam tape & stick beside the first piece

6. Take the next piece & ink the plain side & stick beside second piece

7. Take the next piece & ink the BLUE PATTERN side & stick beside third piece with some foam tape

Continue to follow this order until the entire row has been stuck down ** Always alternate from plain to pattern side. All pattern pieces should be stuck down with foam tape

8. Cut the next row & continue to use the same technique. ** Make sure you start with the BLUE PATTERN piece for the 2nd row then start with a plain piece for the 3rd row then a BLUE PATTERN piece for the 4th row etc

9. Contine to stick all your pieces until the cardstock is completely covered. Trim any edges as required

My Creative Scrapbook Reveal!!

Hi There!

It's reveal day at My Creative Scrapbook! Today I'm sharing my work with the Main Kit. I'll pop back in a couple of days to show you my Album kit work.

**Make sure you scroll to the end of this post for a chance to win a Websters Pages prize!!!**

This months gorgeous Main Kit was filled with Teresa Collins Vintage Findsmixed with some MME, Basic Grey & of course Prima flowers. Such a gorgeous colour palette & lot's of pretties to play with!

This is a pic of my nephew Ryder. He is 6 months old already. I have scabbed a bunch of gorgeous photos from my SIL to scrap of him because he is such a cutie pie! The photography is Bride to Be  from Warragul, Victoria. Craig & I have just been asked to be Ryder's Godparents which is such an honour!
Using a Kaisercraft mask & some texture paste with a light spray of Tattered Angels Walnut Gold mist

To add soem texture to the page I fussy cut some of the diamond pattern, inked the edges then randomly stiuck them down with foam tape

An older pic of the kids I finally decided to scrap. It annoyed me that Evie wasn't looking at the camer but K & H look so cute in this pic I still wanted to scrap it

I have used a Prima polka dot mask with some texture paste on the background. I then applied some generic (from my LSS) black mist onto a baby wipe & smudged it over the texture paste to give a bit of a grunged up look

To make the flower look more masculine I applied some copper embossing powder

I have a step by step coming up on the My Creative Scrapbook blog on how I created this background later in the month

Now who wants to win a cool Websters Pages prize??!!!!!!!!!!

To win this prize pop over to the My Creative Scrapbook Blog, become a follower & leave a comment before midnight Sunday October 7th. Too easy!!

Thanks for joining me for today's reveal. Goodluck with the contest!!
