Hi There!
Here is my entry for Once Upon A Sketch & I have doubled up with this & am also using it for the new Bird Is The Word "you & me".
Here is my entry
And some close ups
The criteria for Once Upon A Sketch was to have at least 2 lines of journalling directly on your photo. I have used Photo shop to add the quote "friendship doubles your joy & divides your sorrows" This time round the public gets to vote. Voting will be held on September 30th so go here http://www.onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/ & vote for me!!
I have used paper from Creative Imaginations. These colours are very deep & rich, something I don't tend to work with a lot but it was a nice change!
I have a little secret I am so excited to share..........but I can't tell you yet. Make sure you pop back after the weekend when all will be revealed!!
Thanks for looking!

My Creative Sketches Big Sketch comp
Hi There!
My Creative Sketches is having a massive sketch comp with the most amazing prizes up for grabs!! Check out the first sketch of the comp here http://www.mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/ & see some gorgeous examples from the DT girls. Here is my entry
I have used the MCS Limited Edition Kit which was full of the gorgeous Melissa Francis Fith Avenue collection & some gorgeous Prima flowers. I have added in some chipboard products & Prima bling. The beautiful Butterflies are by Pink Paislee. To add some layers to my LO I have also used some Prima packaging. It is so pretty I never throw it away. You never know when it will come in handy! To highlight the photo I have done a simple photo matt but have trimmed all the edges with a pair of scallop scissors. I have used some Tim Holtz Liquid Pearl in Petal Pink in each scallop for a bit of extra bling!
I have altered the chipboard title to match the colour theme of my page. First I painted the chipboard antique white, then used a script stamp with some brown ink. I then sprayed some Glimmermist in a pretty moss green. To give the title a nice gloss finish I put some 3 Dimensional Magic on top. A quick way to customize a title to your page!
I have also done a lacing technique on this page which I will show some step by steps on how to do at a later date.
This second LO is for my wedding album. I am still plodding along & slowly getting more wedding pages done LOL!
And some close ups
I have used a mix of papers on this LO. Plain cardstock, Kaisercraft Blae & Ivory & Melissa Francis Fith Avenue. The acetate flowers & butterflies are from K & C Company. The blue flower is from Prima & the white flowers are from Manor House Creations. Again I have used some Prima packaging as an extra layer.
I will be posting a tutorial in the next few day on how to achieve a water colour effect that I used on the 'Love' title on this LO. Altering alphas to match your page is fun & a great way to use up old product that you have lying around so be sure to pop by again soon to see how it is done!
PHOTO TIP- As I was married in Fiji my wedding photographer wasn't exactly a professional! Some of my photos were either a bit blurry or a bit grainy. Because I still want to use the images I have found that editing some of the blurry or grainy photos to black & white helps camouflage the imperfections. You can do this easily yourself with any photo editing software or you local photo processing kiosk can also change your photos to black & white
Thanks for looking!

Scrap The Boys Challenge
Hi There!
I recently found a challenge blog that focuses on scrapping the boys! SOmetimes I get so excited by all the pretty, girly scrap products out there that I put my sons photos to one side. I thought this Blog would inspire me to scrap Boy pages more. The criteria was to use an item from home. I have used a Tommy rocket clothing tag. Here is my entry
I have used Crate Paper Toy Box collection for this. This is a perfect boy range, very cool with lot's of fun embellies. I have also used some MME twine & done some masking with my new Crafters Workshop Mini Bricks template
I have used a photo of my son Hunter from his 5th birthday. He has just turned 6 this week so I really need to get up to date with some boy pages LOL!
Thanks for looking!

Websters Pages August Hybrid/Digi WINNER!
Hi There!
Sadly a good friend of mine has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I made her a card to show my love & support
I entered this card in the WP August Hybrid/Digi Challenge & was very happy to find out I was the WINNER! (........... UM I think it is only gracious to add that it was only a 2 horse race LOL but a win is still a win!!)
I have used WP Ladies & Gents collection paper with a Hollywood Vouge Journalling card & trim. The digital element is a brush from the Country Estate collection. I change the colour to fushia & printed it onto transperancy sheet.
This LO was just for fun. A pic of my Nan meeting baby Evie for the first time.
I have used the very cute Kaisercraft Miss Nellie collection. I love the contrast of the red & pink of this range & the bright pops of blue.
Thanks for looking!
