Hi There!
I completely spaced about entering this competiton earlier! Because I have been having a terrible run of luck the past few weeks I am trying to turn my luck around & entering this awesome comp!
I am almost certain that you would have seen & heard about the extraordinarily talent Ingvild Bolme but in case you haven't check out her new blog here. I was so lucky to attend one of Ingvild's classes in November 2011 while she was touring Australia & she was amazing!
Her work is truly one of a kind & I find her creations so inspiring!!
So fingers crossed I'm the lucky winner !!!!!!!!!!!

More Challenges!
Hi There!
Just sharing the last couple of challenges I have played along with before the end of month deadlines!
This page was created for the Graphic 45 August challenge which was to create a Summer layout
I have used the Tropical Travelogue collection with some Prima flowers & a Flourish with a bling pearl flourish
This pic of Kayla was taken at Hamilton Island earlier this year. Man I wish I was back there right now LOL!
I played over at Kaisercraft with Saturday Sketch #2
I used the Lakehouse collection. Still slowly scrapping pics from my Brother's wedding!
I was so happy to see my page & card from my last post both be featured. I was on the watch list over at CSI: ColorStoriesInspiration & a featured Top 4 at the Cheery Lynn blog!
Apologies for not visiting anyone lately. We have had a rough 2 weeks in our house! Everything is back on track as of today so hopefully it stays that way!! I promise to visit & leave some love soon!!
Thanks for looking!
Cheers

A couple of challenges
Hi There!
2 posts in a day WOW!! I have been getting my mojo on with a couple of challenges this month! Callenges are such a great starting point!
I had a play over at CSI- ColorStoriesInvestigations for Case File# 33
The nautical theme & colours really caught my eye!
If you have never played at CSI the rules are you need to use the color palette plus 2 lots of eveidence & 1 lot of testimony . I used a mix if MME & Websters Pages plus some cute ephemera that CSI supply for every case file with the CSI Coordinates!
My Evidence was liquid medium (gesso), wood grain (the background MME paper) transparent (a transparent Websters Pages Yacht Club frame) & nautical elements (CSI coordinate ephemera)
My Testimony was journal strips & a riddle from Dr Suess Oh the places you will go. " you have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can streer yourself any direction you choose"
The next challenge I played along with was over at the Cheery Lynn blog. The challenge was to create something using a Cheery Lynn Die with the theme doily.
I have used a Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily & the Cheery Lynn French Lattice Die. I have so many of their gorgeous dies on my wish list! They all have so much detail to them!
I have used Prima Almanac papers & notecards with a MME ribbon.
I will be back soon with a couple more challenges!
Thanks for lookin!

Imaginarium Designs Chipboard Love Cherish Adore
Have you been hearing alot about Ombre lately?? Ombre seems to be THE next big thing in fashion & scrapbooking trends. A lot of manufacturers have been showcasing Ombre trends & techniques. What is Ombre? Basically it is different tones or colours that shade into each other. I have used Ombre to alter the gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboard title Love Cherish Adore. Here is a quick little step by step on how to get THE look of the season!
First start by painting your title with gesso. This gives it a good base & stops your ink colours from seeping into the chipboard.
Choose 3 colours of inks, paints, mists or pan pastels that compliment each other. I chose pink (top shade) lilac (middle shade) & yellow (bottom shade)You will need a light & dark shade of your top & bottom colour. EG I have used a light pink, a dark pink, a light yellow & a dark yellow.
I used a combination of pan pastels & inks. Sassy Scrapper has a gorgeous range of Prima Ingvild Bolme chalk fluid edgers here or Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Inks here which are perfect to use!
Ink the top of 'Love' with a light pink going 3/4's of the way down as you can see in the picture. Ink the remaining 1/4 with lilac.
Ink all of 'Cherish' with lilac
Ink the top 1/4 of 'Adore' with lilac. Ink the remaining 3/4's with light yellow.
Use the dark pink & ink half way over the light pink so now you have 3 colours on 'Love' Dark pink, Light pink the Lilac
Cover all 3 words in some Glimmer Glam or Glossy Accents for a nice shimmer finish

Once Upon A Sketch
Hi There!
I have had a chance to play over at Once Upon A Sketch for the August challenge. The theme this month is your favourite season. I chose Winter because I like to become a hermit & sit on top of my central heating vent, curl up on the couch & read & of course it's always a good chance to scrap more!
This is my page
I have used more of my stash!! This is an old collection of Bo Bunny papers Midnight Frost that I had bought intending to scrap some snow pics! I luv the navy blue & plum purple colour combo! I decided to keep the chippies simple & painted them with gesso then covered them in fine glitter so that they all sparkled like snow!
My journalling was handwritten in white pen but it is kind of hard to see in the photo. It reads "Kayla you really loved playing at the snow. I loved watching you laugh as you went down the toboggan run. We also made a snowman & had a snow fight!" 2010
The large bloom is a beautiful velver flower by Green Tara. It is so luscious & pretty! The lattice design is my new Cheery Lynn French lattice die. Thankyou to the lovely Steph Devlin for letting me know which die she was using. I had been crushing on it for ages & trying to find one XX
The flourish chippies is Dusty Attic. This was actually birds on a branch but I chopped it up so that it looked more like a flourish. the scallop circle chippie is from 2 crafty
I used some white versa colour ink & some honeycomb mesh to create the dots & splashed some gesso around the page.
The cogs were from Fern Laser design & all the other blooms & leaves are Prima (you can see some of the journalling on this pic!)
This is Nadia's sketch
Thanks for looking!
Cheers

The Color Room & Prima PPP
Hi There!
Over the weekend I was insired by a couple of gorgeous colour palettes. The first one I played with was over at The Color Room
I have actually shock horror used some scraps & left overs from my stash to create this page! Something I need to make more of a habit LOL!
The background paper is Stampin Up, the PP raspberry pink paper is Kaisercraft & the other paper is Websters Pages. I have also added a few fussy cur images from Graphic 45!
I luv this Prima Allegra flower. It has been in my stash awhile. Glad I hoarded it as it goes so well with this page! This is a pic of my Evie Jools from January while we were holidaying at our van in Marlo.
I also played with the August Prima PPP. The colours are so pretty & remind me of rainbow icecream!
Again I went to my stash & used my leftovers! There is a mix of Prima Almanac, Pixi Glen, Meadow Lark, Songbird & Fairybelle!
a mix of old & new Prima flowers & a shabby resin
The alphas are also Prima. The only thing on this page that is not Prima is teh lovely large purple flower which is Green Tara
I hope u all had a great weekend! The kids had 3 birthday parties over the weekend so we were kept nice & busy!
