Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone. i hope the Easter Bunny was good to you this year. It has been a busy few weeks in the Carman household. My daughter celebrated her 3rd birthday & I just celebrated my 30th birthday!

This is a birthday card I made for Kayla using the G45 Once upon a Springtime collection

Kayla & Hunter went away with Nanny & Poppy for the Easter weekend so I have had a chance to do a few LO's!

At MCS we are paying tribute to the immensely talented Gabrielle Pollacco as she is leaving the DT. We are all so sad she is leaving & therefore are using her work as inspiration. This Lo was created using the scalloped edge technique that Gabi recently highlighted on her blog http://www.gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/

This Lo is using the April Main Kit at MCS. This features the yummy Bo Bunny Gabrielle collection. I have also added some G45 Once Upon A sprintime paper & Prima flowers

The next Lo is also using the April Main Kit with some added Kaisercraft rubon, lace & craft flowers. While distressing the page I accidently made 2 alrge rips in the paper. To blend them in I descided to tear little triangles & stick some little craft roses on them!
Don't forget there is still time to get your entry in at http://www.scrapthatbaby.blogspot.com/. Lo's due April 30. The current prompt is Ultrasounds. Don't miss your chance to win an awesome Niki Sivlis pack!

MCS March Sketch Challenge Winner!!

Hi There!
I am very excited that I have won the March Sketch challenge at My Creative Scrapbook. This LO was based on a sketch composed by Michelle Fowler exclusively for MCS.

Posted Image

I used the absolutely gorgeous Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime collection for this LO. This collection was one of my must haves it is so beautiful! I also used the new Prima trim, Prima flowers, American Crafts thickers, Prima packaging & lace.
This LO took me a little while to finish as I hand stiched the border around the edge (I am the worst sewer!!)
The photo is of my DH Craig with my little baby girl Evie (she is now 6months old). Evie had very low blood sugar levels when she was born so she had to have some formula. This pic of Evie was taken at just 2hours old.

This next LO is using the Feb March Kit at MCS. It was full of the very pretty Echo Park Be Mine collection. I added some extra Prima flowers from my stash but everything else was included in the kit.
The photos are of my eldest daughter Kayla. She has just started ballet & loves to dress up in all her pretty ballet costumes.

This next LO is using the March Main kit from MCS. It was full of the Echo Park For The Record as well as some cool doillies from Maya Road.
This is a pic of my son Hunter age 4 (he is 5 now) He is VERY cheeky!! The pic captures his personality perfectly!

The new prompt for Scrap That Baby will be posted in a couple of days. The theme is Ultrasounds.

My Creative Scrapbook LOTW!

I am so excited to have my LO chosen for LOTW over at My Creative Scrapbook! The talent in this gallery is amazing & feel honoured to have my work chosen!
This LO was made using the February main kit which had lots of yummy Echo Park 'Be Mine', Teresa Collins & some fab trims & bling. If you have never seen the MCS kits you need to check them out!
http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/kits.htm
Pam puts together amazing kits full of the latest & greatest. I have been getting the main kit for a year now & have loved each & every one. I just wish I could afford to buy them all!

With this Lo I fussy cut the hot air balloon & used the gorgeous pink trim & large pink diamantes in the kit. The smaller diamantes were from my stash.
I made a faux paper ruffle trim using a tutorial from http://www.lollychops.com/. I also used the same water spraying technique to create a crinkled effect behind the photo by spraying the paper, scrunching it up then drying it off with an embossing heat tool. You can also use this technique using glimmermist instead of water to give a more colorful, sprakly effect.
To add some texture I have used a small amount of white acrylic paint down the main centre strip.
