BITW- Remember

I Have been having fun playing with the MCS Jan LE Kit. It was choc full of Websters Pages Winter Fairy Tales & Prima YUM!! This first LO is my entry for Bird Is The Word. The word is Remember.

This photo if of Kayla & my FIL from xmas eve 2010. I hadn't gottent around to scrapping any 2010 xmas photos so how excited was I to see that Kayla's outfit matched these papers beautifully LOL!

The journalling reads "Always remember you are never too big to be Pa's little girl"

I LUV the purple Websters Petal flower

I used some liquid pearls for decorations on the tree. My new obsession is seam binding AKA crinkle ribbon. It is so deliciously shabby!

A bit of stitching, fussy cutting & another fav product- Prima metal treasures!

This next LO is for the MCS Jan Challenge. The challenge was to make your own embellishments from patterned paper.

I have used the Jan LE Kit from MCS again. I really luv the colours of the Websters Pages Winter Fairy Tales collection. Purple is my absolute fav colour!

The green roses were handmade using this SUPER EASY tutorial that I posted a while back here

I also made this medallion ribbon by fussy cutting the scallop start circle, layered a second fussy cut star on top, added some twine, seam binding, bling & some tags. I think it looks quite cute!

I jazzed up the Prima Metal Treasure with some bling & kindyglitz

I will be back soon. I can't stay away from this collection. I have to do more!!

More Lost & found!

I am still working through my xmas photos & my MCS December LE Kit which was full of MME Lost & Found Christmas. I found a sketch by Creative Scrappers. This is the sketch

And my take on the sketch

I luv Kayla's crazy bed hair while she was unwrapping her presents!

I handmade these tags by stmaping & adding some trim & ribbon for extra interest

This next LO was just because. The photo is of Evie Jools at her 1st birthday party

The background paper is Kaisercraft. The rest is Websters Pages Let's Celebrate

The resin frame is TDF by Mellisa Frances. The pin & handcut flower cupcake are Websters Pages, the yellow flower is Kaisercraft & a Prima powder puff.

This ticket is a Digi image that I printed onto photo paper. I luv using digi images so that you can use them again & again!

Some fussy cutting with the banner. I added some liquid pearls for extra bling!

I have hidden some journalling behind the fussy cut piece 'my story'

I once was lost but now I'm found

When MME realeased the Lost & Found 2 collection they all made me swoon!! Seriously all that glitter & beautiful vintage images are TDF!! I especially LUV the MME Lost & Found Christmas collection. I couldn't wait to use it on my xmas pics!
This first LO is for the Scrapz.Biz Biggest Loser Challenge Mission 3 & the Bird is the word blog. The challenge for Scrapz.Biz was to use at least 5 different patterned papers & scraplift yourself. Instead of scraplifting a whole LO of my own I scraplifted elements that I tend to use regulary in my work layers, distressed & inked squares, paper curls & banners. The word for BITW is Wonder which I used in the title.

** I just noticed the spelling mistake with surprise. OOPS!

This next LO was just for fun

Evie is a gorgeous girl but a bit cheeky. U never know if the naughty or nice baby is going to be around! We have likened her to a ferral cat at the moment! She makes a horrible shrill scream as she try to scratch your eyes out then the next minute she is full of laughs & cuddles. She certainly can hold her own against her big Brother & Sister!!

2012 celebrated in style!!

The theme & journalling requirement at Once Upon A Sketch is New Years Eve. I have a heap of holiday photos that I want to scrap so this was a great chance to get started! This is the sketch

And my take on the sketch- I flipped the sketch so I could use a landscape size photo

For me a New Years Eve page has to be bright & loud. Pink Paisle Soiree was the perfect collection for this! I have used a big mash up of colours & patterns which is a bit different from my usual style but I really wanted to create a fun page!

 I used a butterfly from Spotlight, a Prima powder puff in white which I smudged some hot pink paint on. The other flowers are Prima & Kaisercraft

The Prima glitter stars was a great match as an embellishment.

Using a mix of alphas in colour & style & size gives the page a bit of a funky feel

I used some journal spots from the Crate Paper Emmas Shoppe collection

New Year, Resolutions & Honourable Mentions

Hi There!!

I hope you all had a FAB xmas & New year!! I have been on holidays at Hamilton Island for the past week. We had a great time. It is so beautiful there. We went snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef & got to feed the beautiful tropical fish!

While I was away I found out that I recieved an honourable mention for the Scrapbooking Memories Masters competition!! This was my first crack at Masters so I am pretty rapt to get a HM. This was the LO

I luv the colour combo of purple & teal with some black to make it pop! The paper is just some left over Websters Pages Ladies & Gents & Little Yellow Bicycle Clothsline. I have used some purple paint & just wiped it on roughly with my finger for texture. Then spltted some teal glimmer mist & stamped using a butterfly & script stamp

The big teal flower was handmade by cutting various size circles from teal material then melting the edges with a heat tool. I sprayed the doily with a teal glimmer mist & added some kindyglitz to the Bo Bunny butterfly trinket. all the flowers are Prima

This LO was a colour challenge I put together at Scrapz.Biz for the Scrap a Rainbow challenge. You still have plenty of time to enter. Entries close midnight 31st January. The more challenges you complete gives you more entires into the draw for the $20 & $10 voucher
