To alter the frame I first gave a coat of gesso, then painted using Shimmerz Blingz Winter Green. I then applied impasto to the tips of the spade shapes on the frame. Once dry I dabbed some Shimmerz Blingz in Spiced Cider on the tips.

The letters were also given a coat of gesso. I then covered each letter in impasto making sure that the application was rough so that it gave a real textured look. Once dry I painted the letters with yellow acrylic paint. When the paint dried I used the Shimmers Blingz Winter Green over the top.

Apply a base coat of gesso. The paint with acrylic yellow paint. Once the paint dried I used Shimmerz in Bunny over the top to brighten the yellow & give it a nice shine. I then used  Shimmerz Blingz in Spiced Cider with a fine paint brush & randomly followed the lines on the border. I was inspired by the 2tone paper colour & wanted to try & recreate that with the chipboard colour.

The Scrapbook Store/Kaisercraft Class Act

Hi There!

Today I am sharing my last page I created while Guest Designing at The Scrapbook Store! I was sent some lovey Kaisercraft Class Act goodies to play with & had fun putting these pages together. I had a bit of a mist drama while doing this page! I somehow ended up spraying mist over papers that weren't meant to b sprayed & had put to the side then tried splashing mist & ended up with red mist dribbled all down my top & pants! It was just one of those days I think!

To decorate the wooden flourish I first applied impasto then painted with yellow acrylic paint

 I used a grid template & some impasto to create the pattern on the pennants & then dry brushed some green acrylic paint to get a grungy more transparent finish

My Creative Sketches- January Sketch

Hi There!

Another sketch has been reveled at My Creative Sketches! I'll fess up, I struggled with this one. I'm just not very good at scrapping in squares so I kinda tweeked it to suit my style! I have flipped the sketch upside down & used some rounded border edges to soften the look.

There is a FABULOUS prize up for grabs as always!

 I have used some of the gorgeous December 2012 LE kit which was filled with Kaisercraft Turtle Dove &  I mixed in some of my December 2011 LE kit MME Lost & Found Xmas chipboard stickers that I had left over in my stash!

I have used some Shimmerz painted onto the Pink Paislee Artisian Elements Squares

Kaisercraft Class Act- The SCrapbook Store

Hi There!

I'm still Guest Designing at The Scrapbook Store this month! I have been playing with the very cute Kaisercraft Class Act!

This is Hunter on his first day of school. How adorable does he look!! He has lost that innocent sweet look about him now LOL!

I really loved the 'Finish' paper which I used as the background. I have used  The Crafters Workshop Chevron template with some Impasto to add some texture to the background.

I have used some Glitz Design Cashmere Dame collection. I have wiped some gesso over the background to soften the bright yellow
