My Creative Sketches

Hi There!

Are you looking for some inspiration or something to help spark your mojo?? Sketches are always a great place to start!

This months sketch was designed by Kim Keane

I don't work well with squares so I softened my page a little with some fussy cutting & a cheery lyn doily die cut
I have used the July Limited Addition Kit which was full of Websters Pages Girl Land. This is a pic of Evie when she was about 5 months old

Just LUV that gorgeous felt Prima flower!! & the Websters Pages mini princess petals are just so cute!

The Color Room & Prima PPP

Hi There!

Over the weekend I was insired by a couple of gorgeous colour palettes. The first one I played with was over at The Color Room

I have actually shock horror used some scraps & left overs from my stash to create this page! Something I need to make more of a habit LOL!
The background paper is Stampin Up, the PP raspberry pink paper is Kaisercraft & the other paper is Websters Pages. I have also added a few fussy cur images from Graphic 45!

I luv this Prima Allegra flower. It has been in my stash awhile. Glad I hoarded it as it goes so well with this page!

This is a pic of my Evie Jools from January while we were holidaying at our van in Marlo.

I also played with the August Prima PPP. The colours are so pretty & remind me of rainbow icecream!

Again I went to my stash & used my leftovers! There is a mix of Prima Almanac, Pixi Glen, Meadow Lark, Songbird & Fairybelle!

The alphas are also Prima. The only thing on this page that is not Prima is teh lovely large purple flower which is Green Tara

I hope u all had a great weekend! The kids had 3 birthday parties over the weekend so we were kept nice & busy!

Guest Designing at Sassy Scrapper!

This month I have the pleasure of guest designing for Sassy Scrapper! They have a wonderful selection of products & Olga the owner is soooooooo friendly & helpful!

Olga gave me some Prima Meadow Lark goodies to play with. I have created a couple of pages & a card. I have just posted a step by step on the Sassy Scrapper blog for this page

Altered candle jars & my giveaway winner!

This month at My Creative Scrapbook I got to play with the flower kit. I LUV flowers & Pam always packs this kit with the prettiest flowers you can imagine!


I decided to use these gorgeous flowers to alter 2 candle jars I had sitting on my mantel

All the flowers you see were from the August flower kit & I still have plenty left over! I have used some Graphic 45 Ladies Diary paper, Prima Trinkets & some organza ribbon from my stash

There will be a step by step tutorial on the My Creative Scrapbook blog on how I made these which I will also post here later in the month

My Creative Scrapbook August Main Kit

Hi There!

Pam has treated us to an early reveal this month over at My Creative Scrapbook!! Today I am sharing my projects created using the August Main Kit. This was filled with the cute & adorable simple Stories Summer Fresh. There are soooooo may cute embellies & stickers in this kit. I created 4 pages & an easel card & I still have lots left over!

This cute window frame/flower box chippie is part of the kit. I have altered it by painting it on gesso. I then roughly dabbed some Prima chalk ink in Brick wall on the frame. For the flower box I used a Prima chalk ink in Denim & then used some Ranger Crackle paint in Rock Candy. I used some stickers of flowers & strawberries on the outside of the box & then used some Prima paper flowers & buttons from the kit to 'plant' my little garden!

This cute hot air baloon is also part of the sticker sheet. I used some yellow wine & blue organza ribon from the kit to jazz it up a bit

To add texture to the background I decided to paper weave. There will be a tutorial on how to do this on the My Creative Scrapbook blog during the month

I have used another cute sticker with the cart & the gingham fabric is also part of the kit!

I created the kites out of some pattern paper & the brown twine in the kit.

I have done a bit of fussy cutting mixed with stickers on this page. I used some more of that cute gingham fabric to create a ruffle around my circle

I have added an actual denim jeans pocket on my page to use as a photo mat. I got the idea from the little fresh picked memories sticker!

& finally I created an Easel Card

There will also be a tutorial on how to create an easel card on the My Creative Scrapbook blog throughout the month!

I hope you enjoyed my projects. This kit was just so much fun to work with!

Scrap The Boys July Challenge

Hi There!

I have had this page done for a couple of weeks but completely forgot to upload my entry for the July Challenge at Scrap The Boys! Lucky I remembered with a whole 2 hours to spare!

The theme for July was School pics. I have used Hunters school photo from this year which is his Grade One pic. He looks so grown up & handsome! I'm sorry the photo quality is not the best. Because I forgot to take a pic earlier I have had to use the flash at night.

I have used some of my stash & played with some old Kaisercraft papers Class of 86?? I think that is what it was called! There is some scraps of old Sassafrass Lass  & an October Afternoon Bingo card

I had a bit of a play with a couple of different crafters workshop templates some texture paste & Mr Hueys mists
