I want to share my last post for Scrapz.Biz. I have had a great time on the DT & made some great friends there. Thankyou so much to Heike for having me. I had a great time on the DT with an awesome bunch of girls. Thanks Sheree, Chloe, Aga & Nati for all your support & making the DT so friendly & fun to be on.
I am VERY fortunate & excited to have been offered a new DT position which meant leaving Scrapz.Biz. I am so excited & busting to tell you all....... but I can't just yet (soon though YAY!)
Anyway here is my last 3 projects that I did for Baby Month.
This was using Prima Meadow Lark. I entered this page for the April Prima BAP. *** FYI this is NOT a new Ultrasound Pic LOL. This is Evie.
The canvas mini banners were fun to alter with some chalk ink in a blue & purpleI also made a Baby Mobile. These photos are not the best sorry. I found it really hard to photograph to show any detail. Here is a quick tutorial on how to make this mobile
-To start off I cut X2 pieces of 12"X1" strips of card (not just cardstock you will need something thicker)
- Cover both sides of the card with paper
- Use a staple to staple the 2 lengths together on each end so it forms a circle
- Reinforce both of the joins with 1"X4" card covered with matching paper that is inside your circle. Just use your tape to stick down card piece straight over the join (If you want a more sturdy circle you could use something like an embroidery hoop as your base instead
- Cut X4 lengths of ribbon or trim exactly the same length. I used 10" lengths. It is easier to use ribbon or trim that is a little bit thicker
- Staple each length evenly around your circle
- Cut 1 length of ribbon approx 30"
- Place this length in the centre of your circle. Tie the 4 lengths of ribbon you have already stapled to the centre piece of ribbon. Leave approx 10" of length to hang your mobile from. The 4 lengths will now look like a pyramid

- Cut/punch 56 butterflies (or whichever shape you have chosen). Mix & match co ordinating patterns
- Roughly fold each butterfly in half so that it looks more 3 dimensional
- Stick 2 butterflies back to back with the same pattern facing out. adjust butterfly wings so that the butterfly is now completely 3 dimensional
- Continue to stick 5 butterflies per ribbon for the 4 outer lengths & 8 butterflies for the centre length
- Cut your ribbon off under the last butterfly to tidy it up
-Decorate the outside of your circle as desired. I have used some lace & bloomers
- Cover the ribbon where youo have tied the 4 lengths to the centre piece. I have used a flower
