More Challenges!

Hi There!

Just sharing the last couple of challenges I have played along with before the end of month deadlines!

This page was created for the Graphic 45 August challenge which was to create a Summer layout

I have used the Tropical Travelogue collection with some Prima flowers & a Flourish with a bling pearl flourish
This pic of Kayla was taken at Hamilton Island earlier this year. Man I wish I was back there right now LOL!

I played over at Kaisercraft with Saturday Sketch #2

I used the Lakehouse collection. Still slowly scrapping pics from my Brother's wedding!

I was so happy to see my page & card from my last post both be featured. I was on the watch list over at CSI: ColorStoriesInspiration & a featured Top 4 at the Cheery Lynn blog!

Apologies for not visiting anyone lately. We have had a rough 2 weeks in our house! Everything is back on track as of today so hopefully it stays that way!! I promise to visit & leave some love soon!!

Thanks for looking!
Cheers

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch #1

Hi There!

I picked up some yummy Kaisercraft 'Charlotte's Dream' from my LSS Scrapbook Sinners & thought I would have a play at one of the Kaisercraft Saturday Sketches. I chose sketch #1 cos I liked all the layers!

Here is my page
Based on this sketch

I luv the colours of this collection with the brown, peach & teal. I traced the die cut paper of this collection onto the brown brocade sheet then handstitched a border around the edge
I added some Kaisercraft roses, Prima flowers & bling & some Prima canvas resist pieces of branch. I tried to keep this page simple as the clours were fairly strong so I didn't want the page to look too busy.

I luv this pic of Kayla. She has the craziest fine hair that is half straight & half curly & it always sits out in a big mess! She tries so hard to keep it under control with her huge array of head bands. I think a haircut is on the cards soon!

While I had some Kaisercraft out I also made this Easel Card for my Best Bud Nelle's birthday. I will post a tutorial on our to make an Easel card very soon.

I have used a combination of Charlotte's Dream with Bonjour. The chippie frame, Rub on & flowers are Kaisercraft & the lace is Melissa Frances.

I just wanted to share a pic of Kayla all dressed up to go to her ballet party last week. I can't believe how grown up & beautiful she looks in this photo!

The other day I was extremely surprised & excited to find this post on the Websters Pages blog. Thanks Websters for making my week!!

Thanks for looking!

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch March #2 & a G45 Sneak Peak

Hi There!

First up I have just completed a LO using the sketch over at Kaisercraft for Saturday Sketch March #2. This is the sketch

& my take on it
Doesn't Evie look like such a cutie pie in her Flower girl dress! I have used the MCS Feb LE Kit again which was full of Kaisercraft SweetNothings
I fussy cut the cameo & framed it with a Prima Metal Treasure Frame
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder again for some texture & layered some Prima bling & a LYB doily

Last week I ran a Scrap A Rainbow challenge over at Scrapz.Biz. I chose a bright & colourful palette to play with
(Inspiration pic from Pinterest)

I made this cute little card

I have used Crate Paper Random & Echo Park Victoria Garden

I made the flowers using Prima hydrangas & Crate Paper Random Brads

As promised I said I would post a couple of sneaky peaks of my 3 projects I submitted for the final stage of the Graphic 45 DT call. I tell you what I have never scrapped & felt so sick at the same time!! I was sooooooooo nervous but I am really happy with the end result. March 30 can't come quick enough!!

Project 1
This is a LO using Travelouge collection. It is very true to my style with lots of layers & fussycutting!

Project 2
I made some bunting as decor for Evie's room using a combination of Once Upon a Springtime & Little Darlings. It is very whimsical & girly

Project 3
This is a Baby's firsts milestone book using the Little Darlings collection. This book is very shabby chic full of lace, fussy cuts & chipboard pieces

& last of all I just wanted to share a pic of my gorgeous little nephew Ryder. He is now 3 weeks old & a total cutie pie! Can't wait to scrap some baby pics of him!

Thanx for looking!

A challenge or 3!

Hi There!

I have played along with a couple more challenges. The first LO is a combination of Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch #2 & Bird is the Word. Teh word is 'heart'. This is the skecth

& my take on the sketch (I posted this LO in my last blog post for the Graphic 45 design team call)
I have used the gorgeous February Limited Edition MCS kit which was full of the romantic Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings collection

A close up of some Prima goodness on the page!
The flowers & bird cage are fussy cut. The masking was done using some honeycomb mesh & some versa ink in Laurel Leaf
Some hand stitching & more prima flowers

I have used a few different meduims to give  this chipboard scroll circle a distressed look. Firstly I painted it with gesso, then once dried & painted some acrylic antique white painte all over. Once dried I roughly inked the edges in versa colour ink pinecone. I then used olive ink & roughly smudges colour unevenly aroun the circle. Then get some texture paste on your finger & roughly smudge the paste where you would added texture. Once dry dab your pinecone ink pad on top of the smudges of texture paste. Finish off by using a coat of Tim Holtz Ranger Crackle Paint in Rock Candy. Use a heat gun to help make the texture past bubble & assist crackling!

This next project is my entry for the Websters Pages February Challenge. the challenge was to use sparklers on my page. Thanks so much to Heike at Scrapz.Biz for supplying me with some pretty sparklers!
I have used Websters Pages Ladies & gents & Csountry Estate, Websters pretty petal, Websters sparkler
The mirror folds down to reveal some journalling

The black lace border is a Websters Pages digital brush printed onto a transparent sheet & then fussy cut

Thanks for looking!

Ooh La La!!

Bonjour!

My LSS just got a big Kaisercraft order. Although the 'Bonjour' collection has been out for a little while I couldn't resist the precious pastel shabby chic colours & the butterfly & Eiffel tower motiffs were just too cute! I was lucky enough to travel to France in 1998. The views from the top of the Eiffel tower are so incredible!! I would LUV to go back one day!

I decided to have a crack at the Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch Februray #1 for the first time & combined this challenge with the new word challenge over at Bird is the Word. This is the sketch
And my take on the sketch
I cut out the fram on the specialty paper & fussy cut around the Eiffel tower

The new word at BITW is 'journey' which I used in the title 'Enjoy the journey'. I have used Prima alphas

The pink roses are Kaisercraft. The fern leaves are Green Tara which I white washed then added some fine glitter. I got these both at my LSS Scrapbook Sinners

I have created lots of different layers using different patterned paper (all Bonjour collection) & using lace & trims. The die cut is from a MFT die scalloped circle
