Sassy Scrapper- Best Friends

Hi There!

My turn on the Sassy Scrappers Blog today. Last month Hubby & I took the kids for a drive and we ended up having lunch at the lake. I took the camera along & got some nice pics of the kids that I have been wanting to scrap. This pic was my favourite. They were all standing, watching the ducks swim so of course being a scrap Mum I made them hold hands so the picture would look that bit cuter LOL!

I have been playing with Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose collection this month. It is such a pretty collection with lot's of gorgeous images to play around with.

The Scrapbook Store Sketch

Hi There!

I am squeezing this one in last minute! I really loved the sketch over at the The Scrapbook Store

This was Evie blowing out her candles a few weeks ago. I really still can't believe she is 2 already!
I have used a mix of Prima Romance Novel & Prima Romantique
The large pink flower & the pruple flower are from Green Tara & the others are a mix of Prima

Using teh Prima flourish mask with some texture paste

A Dusty Attic chipboard sign. I have painted some Distress Crackle Paint in Walnut Stain for the stand & used pink acrylic paint with smudges of gesso for the base. I wanted the journalling to be clear so I didn't alter the base too much
I will have a few tutorials posted over the next few days so make sure you pop back!

Thanks for looking!

Scrap The Girls

Hi There!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Hunter had a couple of mates around for a sleep over for his birthday. The boys were so well behaved & our first offcial sleep over went off without a hitch!

Scrap The Girls have a great challenge for September. The theme is sports or action shots. I used a photo of Kayla boogy boarding in Marlo earlier this year

I have used a mix of Websters pages Everyday Poetry & Yacht Club. To add a bit of texture to the background I used some torn pieces of tissue paper & stcuk it on with modge podge then I used some gesso & some honey comb mesh as a mask. I then sprayed & splashed some Gold Glimmer mist to give a gorgeous shine.
The flowers & resin are a mix of Prima & the white floral spray is Green Tara

I have used my Martha Stewart Deep fan punch (one of my fav's!). The bobble trim is just from the $2 shop. The bloomer is Websters Pages which I dabbed some gesso to tone the blue colour down

I was really excited to be featured at Once Upon A Sketch & The Color Room last week!

Thankyou to everyone that  joined in the blog hop! Thankyou for all of your gorgeous comments.

Thanks for looking!
Cheers

Once Upon A Sketch

Hi There!

I have had a chance to play over at Once Upon A Sketch for the August challenge. The theme this month is your favourite season. I chose Winter because I like to become a hermit & sit on top of my central heating vent, curl up on the couch & read & of course it's always a good chance to scrap more!

This is my page
I have used more of my stash!! This is an old collection of Bo Bunny papers Midnight Frost that I had bought intending to scrap some snow pics! I luv the navy blue & plum purple colour combo! I decided to keep the chippies simple & painted them with gesso then covered them in fine glitter so that they all sparkled like snow!
My journalling was handwritten in white pen but it is kind of hard to see in the photo. It reads "Kayla you really loved playing at the snow. I loved watching you laugh as you went down the toboggan run. We also made a snowman & had a snow fight!" 2010
The large bloom is a beautiful velver flower by Green Tara. It is so luscious & pretty! The lattice design is my new Cheery Lynn French lattice die. Thankyou to the lovely Steph Devlin for letting me know which die she was using. I had been crushing on it for ages & trying to find one XX
The flourish chippies is Dusty Attic. This was actually birds on a branch but I chopped it up so that it looked more like a flourish. the scallop circle chippie is from 2 crafty
I used some white versa colour ink & some honeycomb mesh to create the dots & splashed some gesso around the page.
The cogs were from Fern Laser design & all the other blooms & leaves are Prima (you can see some of the  journalling on this pic!)

This is Nadia's sketch
